UNF

The University of North Florida, an undergraduate and graduate university, is located in the heart of Jacksonville, FL. This growing campus offers students the resources of a large university, while maintaining a smaller, more personal atmosphere. With smaller class sizes, over 150 clubs, an array of academic programs, and an opportunity to fully enjoy campus life by living on campus, UNF strives to develop a student’s academic, social, and leadership skills.

If accepted to the University, Scheidel Scholars are recruited from the following institutions, as space allows:

  • Beaches Habitat and Habitat St. Johns residents
  • Students who graduated from Pace Center for Girls who demonstrate need
  • Children’s Home Society residents and foster children under Children’s Home Society care
  • Florida State College at Jacksonville Scheidel Scholar transfer students
  • Members of the Alliance for the Lost Boys of Sudan
  • Recipients of the Herbert W. Scheidel Community Leadership in Action Award
  • Classical Music Scholars
  • Foundation Academy students who demonstrate need
  • Dependents of Beaches Habitat and Habitat St. Johns full time employees who demonstrate need

All applicants are required to contact UNF’s Scheidel Scholarship contacts directly, for all questions regarding eligibility, application components, verification, or general inquiries. The Foundation will not accept any scholarship applications or supporting documents.
